(6) Department

Based on the company organization chart, the relationships and relative ranks, positions, and jobs can be put in Department category. For instance, the number of departments in example company, “Company A”.

Departments have subcategories like holiday, shift, job, and position. Holidays and shifts can be associated with any department. You are allowed to create these subcategories before or after creating a department. If holiday and shift already exist at the time you add a new department, you can select them when creating a new department. Otherwise, you can create these types later and then edit the department information form to add them. Jobs are added by clicking the “+” button in the department form. A department can be divided into many sub departments. It depends on your organization’s structure. Each department should have a shift (day or night), holiday schedule, types of jobs, and number of positions for each job. A typical workflow is shown in
