(5.8) Case Studies

Employee selection may vary depending on the rules and regulation of the company. Here, we will show you a sample scenario of how to promote an applicant to probation status. Please refer to Section (4.5) Promote Applicant to Probation . Let’s say the employee with an HR assistance or similar role has to look into applicant lists, select some or all of them who are qualified, and report the results to her manager. She needs to create a Task. So, she needs to be a task Creator. The first 5 steps of a task are the Creator’s responsibility.

Creator

  1. Choose the Applicant module from the main menu on the left side.

  2. Click All key.

  3. Choose the employee you want to promote.

  4. Click the Employment Application task.

  5. Fill the all required fields in the Employment Application Task.

Login employee is the Creator. The employee to be promoted is the Target. Click Task in the action bar on the right. Be sure that you have the right permissions to do the task.

  • This ends the part played by the Creator.

Assignee

This next participant in the task is the Assignee who has to implement the assigned tasks. In this example the HR manager is the assignee because the creator (an HR assistant or person with a similar rank) designated him or her as such. The manager (assignee) logs into his account. In the Task module, choose the task with the status “Probation”. Then click Edit in the action bar.

  • If you are the responsible person or manager, you can approve the leave by selecting from “Status” drop down list box.

  • Otherwise, if you have to report to another person whose rank is higher, just select the person from the “Assign To” drop down list.

  • If the “Status” is “Open” so the task is not yet finished.

You can check whether the task has had the intended effect by searching for the previous applicant’s name using the search box in the Probation module.
